Going in to this late summer and early fall Blue Ridge UltraCross series I am thinking tubeless will be key to an overall series strong finish, potential win. I have flatted several times during past years races. This year, using my i9 tubeless ready wheels with a UST type of tire is the plan, so I am looking for recommendations on what has worked for people. Traditional 700x32/33 with minimal knobbiness, something like a Kenda Small Block 8 or Happy Medium, minus those massive side knobs . . .

Conditions are typically gravel forest service roads, not glass, but not baby-head sized rocks either, some pavement, minimal single track, and the occasional creek crossing. Climbing usually determines the races in these mountains, but confident descending will help me quite a bit.

Recommendations GO!

Guys around here seem to like the Specialized Trigger tubeless 700x33.
