I'm getting a disc wheelset laced up. Shimano CX75 hubs to Velocity Aileron rims, 28 spokes front and back.

My question is: What's the best lacing pattern to use?

This is how Ergott built his Shimano CX75 wheelset: http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=146929

Looks like 2X front and back, DS and NDS? I'm clueless when it comes to lacing patterns.

If it matters, I'm not that heavy... ~155lbs.

:help:

Disc, I'd say 3 cross, inside pulling, both front and rear. Pulling spokes heads out in other words. Brass nipples, built well.

Thanks oldpotatoe. I found this as well.

Looks like Shimano recommends inside pulling for everything except for rear DS? Am I understanding correctly?

I'm unfamiliar with this terminology. How can I tell?

Inside pulling for disc is best. Also best for 28 3 cross where the spoke overlaps more of the flange.

Non disc or 32/36 and 3 cross, I always do outside pulling.

Also referred to as trailing spokes... they are the ones that point from the hub towards the rear of the bike. Think of the hub rotating forward as you pedal, these spokes pull the rim to make the wheel rotate.
