From Marinoni website:

"40th Anniversary - SL

The Marinoni 40th Anniversary SL is a lugged tubular Columbus SL frame with a classic look and geometry. The frame is offered stock with a BSA Italian bottom bracket and a choice of either threaded or threadless steel fork. Options of chromed finish give it a nice retro look. The 40th Anniversary SL is offered in 5 stock sizes and is also offered with optional custom geometry.

Available as a frameset, or in three Campagnolo groupset of configuration: Veloce Silver, Athena Silver and the very exclusive 80th Anniversary."

I heard these were around $1300 CDN but not sure how reliable that number is. If so, that is a screaming deal. Also, that the old man himself is brazing these.

Edit: $1350 stock. $1525 custom.

Very nice! Too bad it tops out at 56cm (presumably Marinoni thinks larger riders need something stouter than SL).

Yes. Word is they will use oversize tubing in the larger sizes for greater stiffness. I guess that means you have to order custom for 58 and above.

I used to own a Marinoni and it was a delight to ride. The frame was immaculate in quality, he has been one of my favorite builders for a number of years now. This is such an awesome frame.

If you choose to accept this mission, you can even choose custom colors!

Very nice indeed. Is internal cable routing out of style, or are builders just cutting costs?

Give Rob Whelan at Sleepy Hollow Bicycle Center in Tarrytown (Westchester Co.) a call. I haven't been there in a while, but Rob used to have several in stock, and I spoke with him at one point about a custom.

Make sure to call first. The shop isn't Rob's day job, and he keeps somewhat casual hours.
