So I'm certainly not going to complain about the weather here in so cal; we can ride pretty much all year around. Sometimes it's 67 and we say it's "freezing out," yet we somehow manage anyway. BUT: I ride by the ocean and the wind does get going -- especially this last month. I'm a recent convert to tubulars and the first thing I noticed was the combination of the springy feel of the steel fork and the lush-hum-buzz sound the tires make. For the past month the wind has taken over and I can't hear my wheels! I think the absence is really getting to me. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I'll understand if our east coast/mid west cousins tell me to shut up and go ride. But still...
