Hi folks,

I'm trying to figure out what the practical differences between the Continental Ultra sport tires and the four seasons. The price difference is 2~3x, but I'm not sure if they're worth the extra expense.

Thanks

The 4Seasons is my go to tire from Fall through Spring. If I recall, the 4Seasons has a high tpi count and other goodies which make it a favorite. See more detail below.

4 seasons have more grip, more thorn resistance and ripstop like protection that hopefully stops cuts at the next cross stitch.

You should be able to find them for $100/pr or less. msg me if you're paying more then that.

'Practical'? Ultra Sport is their entry level tire..less supple, less 'TPI', more of a training tire VS the GP 4 season is a GP tire, with extra stuff in the casing for puncture resistance, with a GP tread..meaning sticky.

BUT if you put a Ultra Sport on, same bike, rim, pressure..they will work well for you...as will a GP 4 season..yes at 1/3 the $..bike tire afterall.
