That's a great story. This was a very tough year to meet that pledge.

a couple of years ago, couple of people made the effort to get kids to ride to school. I live a half mile away from the middle school, the parents taking their kids to school are insane. Fortunately, very few cyclists actually have to take the same route.

The traffic is bad enough that the cops should probably make it a priority to catch aggressive driving near the school, I feel endangered just driving there. Plus they would only have to be there 45 minutes and then off for a donut.
