This isn't my bike nor do I know the owner, but the notice was posted on one of our local cycling lists. Apparently the owner's bike was stolen on Friday the 13th (bad luck, right?). Please help a fellow Merckx lover and keep an eye out for it
Of note is the large size - 63 cm! There can't be a ton of these out there. Here's a copy of the owner's post:
"I know I'll never see it again but keep your eyes open for my Eddy Merckx stolen from Brackenridge hospital bike parking area. It was Friday afternoon using bolt cutters . The parking attendant only 25 feet away saw someone by the bikes and then walking a bike away which she described which had to be mine. It's an early 80s Eddy Merckx 63 cm, not too many people could ride it, maroon and silver repaint, with a rack and old faded red pannier. Bike thieves should be castrated"!
