I've mounted a pair of Velo Orange fenders on a Soma Disc Cross and am still tweaking the fit.
Should I attached the rear fender to three places including the brake bridge or leave it on two?
It's now attached at the chain stays and dropout eyelets.
No boss at the bridge and would have to use one of included bracket.
Believe these are my first ever fenders so just asking.

triangulation is a good thing. You don't want the fender getting folded up because it moved into contact with the tire. That might lock your wheel.

Yeah, you want the third point for sure or you will end up with a noisy cracked fender.

Does V-O include a bracket for non-bossed-bridge mounting ? I don't remember one in the three sets I've installed, granted all had threaded bosses where needed so they might be in my misc. parts bin. I would personally use a P-clamp, very secure, protects the frame and you can buy the actual size (bridge diameter) you need.

I have eyelets on the front and rear dropouts.
Used the daruma on the front fork.
VO provide a crimp-on and L bracket for the seatstay bridge.
Bike is disc but has unused brake holes.
Giving another look a the directions.

Had a good mount at rear brake bridge using the L bracket and button head 4mm.
May be cage bolt but I haven't check.
Problem is bolt head restricts tire rotation.
Apparently the L bracket doesn't lift the fender high enough.
Tried to use long side of L on top of fender to have horizontal adjustment but the shorter side seem to have concave shape for the fender.
Which is correct?

A little pricey for what they are, but a Sheldon fender nut from Problem Solvers might make your life a little easier.

Otherwise, whip out a 'rat tail' file, and just elongate the slot as required. It often takes a little creativity, and some extra parts, to generate a good fender fitment.

Replaced L bracket with a P clamp.

Nice and sturdy mount but wheel and tire still too large.

Running 650's till I change the 700 wheels to a narrower tire.

Found the rubber coated P clamps by Hillman in Lowes hardware drawers.

I used the 5/8" and 1/2 and 3/4 inch available for about $1.40 a pair.

Is drilling and taping a mount hole in the bridge another option?
