this is my work phone, waiting on a call from the :mobile team" - oh boy.

anyone else have this happen: randomly, phone sitting on desk, starts constantly re-booting. from home screen to apple logo, and repeat. i cant access any of my pictures, contacts, calendar, etc. phone appears useless at the moment...

Hold down the top and home buttons together for a while? I think that forces it to shut down...

My sister's phone did something like that after some water got into it... it eventually was OK after drying out. In fact my family is 3 for 3 with iphones returning to normal after water damage. Only lasting issue was a dead flash on my latest that took a swim with me when I fell through the ice playing pond hockey last winter...

Could be water damage. If so, it is best "not" to try to power up or turn on until it is completely dried out on the inside. Otherwise you can cause some more significant damage.

definitely not water damage. i tried the typical restart methods. no luck. still in a constant re-boot loop. darn.

Did you try to connect to iTunes? If it recognizers it and you can connect, might be a good idea to make a backup before things get worse.

That happened to my iPad last year. I googled how to fix it...involved hooking up to iTunes, and restoring from my iPad back up...

The Apple guys would probably have you re-install the OS. However, if you have IT support, it doesn't sound like your problem...

Most likely gonna be a complete restore to factory then restore from iTunes backup
