Hey all-

I have a 2007 vintage pair of SIDI Genius 5 shoes. Overall, they've been great but the heel pads are getting rather worn. They have the more oval shape (see below) rather than the newer ones with an indentation. I am having trouble sourcing a replacement pair. Does anyone know where to get them OR if any of the newer styles would fit OR if someone has some that they'd like to sell?

Thanks!

I think I saw my LBS had some of those the other day. I'll be over there tomm to pick up some chain lube. Ill check to see if they still have it if you want?

I think the new ones fit, you just have to nip off a plastic nub.

Er...ok, just looked at mine, two plastic nubs.

My shoes have the two plastic nubs on the other side. The problem is that every place I look at online has the heart shaped heel pad only. Those are meant to accommodate a rivet which my shoes do not have. I think all I need is the same pad but in the oval shape.

Oh...wow. I guess my shoes are even older, no holes for the nubs.

Got my pads (they would fit your shoes) from this seller on eBay- http://www.ebay.com/usr/bikeprod1

A guy associated with that seller is on the forums but not sure how often he reads stuff. Will ask him on IRC when I see him online.

Sounds like the new/current style of pad will work- http://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/942027-old-sidi-shoes-new-heel-pad.html

Like people said, you just have to clip off the nubs and they should work fine. It did for my Genius 3 and 4s.
