I have a bike with Shimano 6600 calipers and an Enve fork. Need to take the wheel off to get it into my car on a regular basis. Wondering how easily or not 28 mm tires will go in and out of those brakes?

Easy.

Partly depends on how tight a gap you set between rim and pads but between the quick release and barrel adjuster, you won't get stuck.

If you have wide rims it will be easy because you will have the brake shoes set wide so the difference in width between rim and tire will be less than if you have a fat tire on a skinny rim.

The brakes are probably not the limiting factor. The fork and placement of the fork mounting hole will be more limiting. Opening the brake QR and the tire will fit easily.

I have an Enve fork on one of my bikes, and I believe you will not have a problem. If me.....just in case.....like above said.....I would adjust brake so that I had a lot of adjustment in the barrel adjustment as well as the quick release. I don't run 28's, but believe top clearance OK also. If you have a clearance issue, it will be with brake, not fork.

I have run Ruffy Tuffys on A23 rims with both Rival and 6700 brakes with no issues on my Enve fork.

There's your answer. Those are 28s.
