I've decided to go to Argentina, March 25-April 1 with Steve Lehman Tours. It is a training trip led by Steve (national championships and world record holder), Jorge Romero (certified coach, track and road coach, former junior national champion of Puerto Rico), and Veronica Martinez (track and road champion) who lead the rides and provide coaching. Riders, from recreationals to racers, ride in groups suited to their abilities, so there are 3-4 separate groups a day designed to train, but not exhaust or frustrate, the riders.

The trip includes round trip airfare from JFK, and you bring your bike. The trip is priced extremely reasonably for an 8-days trip. If you are interested, contact Steve directly at 1(800) 357-3018 and mention me (I doubt it will get me anything, but I'll split it with you). Here's the itinerary. http://www.bicyclingworld.com/templates/itinerary.aspx?rqTourID=836#Day1 and what is included is at http://www.bicyclingworld.com/templates/tour.aspx?rqTourID=836.

Jorge coached Queen and myself last yr. on the track The man is a gem. Anyone going on this trip is in good hands. Wish it was me.

Since it is the sort of esoteric and nutty thing in which I am interested, see if you can find anything out about "Monti" brand tubular tires....They are made in Argentina, and the better ones appear to be decent (not that I think that they are a substitute for Veloflex). Otherwise it sounds like a great trip...
