Hello members I have two bikes that are just too nice to be stored in my garage and not seen on a daily basis. I want to store my Pegoretti and Vanilla in my small home office. Can you please provide me ideas to hang and show my bikes that's easy to take down and ride.

Woah. Thanks. I just backed it.

It won't hold the weight of a bike and only goes to 28mm? No thanks.

I will keep this:

Two words: Old handlebars.

Drops hold a top tube easily, tape 'em up for style, and you repurpose some old bits to boot.

Clug works for me. No need to get it off the floor.

Get a wall mounted display rack like this. Fill up wall space. Don't hide your beautiful bikes away in a corner. Haha

Very cool. That would do it for me.

Just backed the Klug. It'll be great for my apartment, where my lease bars me from drilling.

I'm not saying it doesn't have application, but in skeptical how well it can hold everything from a 23mm veloflex on a 19mm rim all the way to a 28mm clement on a 23mm rim. A bike also sticks out a long ways. That is a pretty long lever to place on a fairly small plastic clip. I see little or no functional value over a nice looking hook. The only difference I see here is not putting weight on a rim with a non load bearing carbon faring.

The best application of or this would be in the corner of a room. This would eliminate concerns about the bike being bumped. It would also limit the usable floor space the bike would consume. Putting the clug in the middle of a wall would consume more usable floor space in most rooms vs just leaning it on the wall. Again, even on a small bike the saddle hight is much more than the width of the bars. Floor space is often more at a premium that wall space.

All could work perfectly well and the price is low. I look forward to hearing feedback.

I think I would rather lean my bike against the wall or use a stand that rests against the wall vs taping it up. Again, it may work fine, but in addition to the concerns above, you have to worry about adhesion. I've got no fear about the tape itself not sticking well enough, but do you trust what you are sticking it to? You can pull the paint or wallpaper right off the wall.

If I am going to put my bike (and wall) at risk, I am going to lean more toward engineering than "design."

As another point of warning, I looked at a lot of wall hanging devices (like the one I pictured) that have stupid hole spacing requiring the use of a wall anchor. The one I used is made for standard 16in on center studs. It only required two deck screws to hold it up and it is very secure. Removing it will be just as easy as taking a picture down. The holes are much smaller than a proper wall anchor requires. Designing a wall mount with hole spacing that does not allow for all of the hardware to enter a stud is careless and lazy.

There is a small hook available that is almost invisible when a bike is hanging from it. Dunno if it is available in the US, but a metal worker could easily make one for little money.

I was considering a lean against the wall, two bike stand from REI during their recent sale. I don't remember the name, but it required no mounting and was very reasonably priced.

I used a hook with vinyl outer screwed into a stud, it's cheap and simple.
