Hail Mario!!:)

While Mario Cipollini’s bicycle brand has been proving itself at the ProTour level of racing for a few years now, they’ve only recently taken aim at the US market by signing Florida-based Speedbrands LLC as the new US distributor – who offered us a ride on Team Nero Sottoli’s Francesco Chicchi’s personal 2013 race bike – the RB1000....

Of course it's a FLORIDA distributor that signed on to import that abomination....

I predict the bikesnob will have a field day with the glorious intersection of his favorite rider and his favorite state... I can envision Cipo doing clinics, charity rides and Bond-themed commercials on South Beach, but I also suspect people there won't pay much attention, as a)they won't know who this deeply tanned foreigner is, and b)he'll be surrounded by hordes of lookalikes.

I think the only thing Mario is involved with re these bikes is having his name on it. So I am told by some one who should know.

From the Pez article:
"At $10K+ for a full bike, you won’t see a lot of these on your club ride."
So true, in Westchester we bring out our good bikes...

1%er scarcasm aside, I'd rock one of those. Maybe while wearing a Rock Racing kit.

Swap Stradalli for Cipollini and let the cash start rolling in!

I think it's an italian machismo thing. Seems to be last time I was In Rome, every bike shop had pictures of half naked women, I actually mean half naked topless, on the walls. Bike themed obviously. :)

Good write-up on Pez. Not my thing aesthetically, but FAR from a rebranded open mold from the far east. Would love to get on one for a ride.
