Somebody was scattering prickly pear pieces on our trails this winter. Many were several hundred yards from the nearest prickly pear plant. I came across about 20. My wife came across several a couple weeks before. We carefully picked them up and threw them off the trail. The were not buried like the homemade spike strip.

I wonder what the motive was.
