Does anyone know where I can get a steel road frame that's smaller than 48cm with 650c wheels.

I think Honey does some very small sizes. No 650c though.

Are you looking for new or used? I have a tiny (43cm) Trek.

Terry Cycles has bike frames as small as 40.5cm.

Wow, thanks for the great feedback guys, keep it coming! New or used. Peferably a frame with a horizontal top tube, not custom due to keeping the cost down

A friend of mine has a Terry Symmetry (http://www.terrybicycles.com/Bicycles/Ready-To-Ride-Fitness/Symmetry-Drop-Bar) that's nice. She got hers from an online sale for like $500, which was a killer deal. Hers was one of the smallest 700c sizes, but the smallest sizes come in 650.

There was a tiny Steve Rex in the classifieds that might fit the bill...

Rider size? For example I ride a 40 cm seat tube frame because of my leg length but I'm 5'7".

My sis in law has a stock Jamis, I think it was a 44 cm frame (700c wheels). She's 4'10" or something, I don't know exactly. I believe her legs are about the same length as mine. New from the shop it was $450? $500? I forget, it was on sale. She got it as a secondary thing for aerobic stuff, she's primarily a runner (marathons).

The Missus is 3" shorter but has 1" longer legs. I have to drop her saddle if I ride her bike.

Thanks guys. To be more precise, a steel frame with a horizontal Tt, 650c wheels, preferably 44st 50tt. Nothing has caught my eye yet

Rider height 4'12, unsure of inseam. (Looking for someone else)

Sorry the horizontal top tube is vital and the geo of that bianchi is looooose. I am in no rush for a new bike I've got a few just curious what was out there. Thanks for the great response!

Mktng it's Rishi looking for a bike for me so that doesn't help.

I wonder if a horizontal top tube will be possible in that size. I guess it might just be possible but I can't remember seeing one, terry used to make bikes that small with horizontal top tubes but they used 24" front wheels to do it. They can usually be picked up for cheap, you have to carry two different tubes in case of flats but otherwise they seem to ride fine.

I have two indy fab steel crown jewels, both with horizontal top tubes <= 50cm and 650c wheels. Here's one.

That one is a 46cm c-c.

Edit: Getting multiple inquiries on selling either CJ. Sorry, not selling either one. Didn't want to use this thread as a sales vehicle (would have posted in Classies), just wanted to add to the discussion.

The Indy fab looks great! Are either of them for sale? And yes you can get a 650c 42-48cm frame I've got a few.

Waterford. They wisely go with 650c wheels in the smallest frame sizes.

They build for Terry as well…

Don't know if that's a typo or not, but most of us would refer to that as 5 feet even.

cool, looks like you could lower that top tube 2 centimeters and still have it level. thanks for posting the pics.
