When pre-registering on line in FEB for the 2014 Paris Roubaix Challenge, there was an 5 euro option to add admission to "Nuit du Velo", a pre-event, soiree, benefit for a Digest Science (France's only charitable foundation entirely dedicated to research on digestive tract diseases and nutrition).
What the heck, 5 euro ( ~ $7.00 US)- seemed like a good cause and might as well go especially since it was being held at the Jean Stablinski- Roubaix Velodrome on Friday evening, I could pick up my ride registration materials along with the draw of food and possible cycling celebrities in attendance.
Didnt stay too long as I wanted to get some sleep for the next day but turned out to be well worthwhile- watched some track racing exhibitions, checked out some cool charity cycling auction items and huge highlight of my trip- a photo op with one of the cycling gods :)
