It is pretty pathetic he has been reduced to trying to one-up Lance Armstrong in social media.

Dueling videos about changing a tire. Weird.

this. i remember watching some TV special about lemond maybe 10 years ago and he was flying some private prop-plane himself, thinking that lance flys around in a G6. it made me a little sad.

lemond will always be a self-made redheaded stepchild to "big bro" lance. and this is coming from a life-long lemond fan and supporter.

It is pretty pathetic he has been reduced to trying to one-up Lance Armstrong in social media.

I WISH Greg understood that he was important enough not to live his life following Lance around...

It is pretty pathetic he has been reduced to trying to one-up Lance Armstrong in social media.

Actually, I find it somewhat admirable that he hasn't lashed out more since Lance on Oprah. If all he does is little light comedy jabs like this, with a wry smile, more power to him. He has a right to be bitter and out there in all kinds of media pummeling Lance for his actions against him and defiling the sport. But, if you notice, he still smiles a lot, and is well liked by many. So, who's winning again?

+1. Lance has been reduced to doing youtube videos, so Greg decides to reduce his stature? Sometimes an inner monologue is a good thing.

If they were FRIENDS, it would be funny BUT this does nothing to upgrade Lemonds deservedly new found stature in the bike world, IMO.

BUT what TdF winner will make the next video on flat changes. Any guesses...??

Armstrong vaporized all of his accomplishments, then vaporized himself... It's like murder/suicide. If Armstrong were convicted and sentenced to death, LeMond would probably volunteer for Executioner.

The way it is going, Lemond would volunteer to be executed. As they flipped the switch, he would still be pissed that Armstrong's execution got more press than his.

Nah, that's not what's going on here.

I don't think he's trying to one-up him, but he definitely meant it as a dis to Armstrong.

I sympathize with LeMond... I think this whole story could be a Shakespearean tragedy. I think dissing on Armstrong is kind of poor taste, but I don't have the kind of seething contempt for him that LeMond surely has. It's not as though Armstrong ain't easy pickins.

And... I mean.... It's not like Armstrong isn't still in a lot better place than he deserves to be. I'm sure he's still loaded, I'm sure he still gets crazy respect out in public, and I'm sure he's still banging designer vaginas.

Well, I dunno if this is in good taste, but I'll give you points for leading with a solid example. (the emphases are mine]
