There's a Crumpton on eBay currently going for cheap. Ending very soon. It's a 55. My size. I would be all over it if I had my tax returns in hand already!

Oh...so it didn't really sell for $1.1k (I saw the other completed auction but it ended a few weeks ago...)

What stopped me from going higher was that it was probably one of the first Crumptons since it had Easton stays and fork. From what I've read here, it was probably a 2007 or earlier??? I'm sure it still is a great ride ride no matter the age, but me wants a newer Crumpy.

Anyone else here bid too?

In 2008 I spoke to Nick at NAHBS #3 - he was using Easton stays / fork.

I think that this is an example where the broader audience of ebay does not necessarily translate into a higher price than selling here or across the hall.

I was the second-highest bidder so if the buyer flakes, I'll be watching for a second chance offer.
