There was a discussion on chains recently. I have only used Shimano chains and have been happy with their performance. However, I want to use a snap/quick link with my 10 speed Shimano chain.
KMC was recommended by several here, however my LBS only carries Sram links.
Is there a difference in performance between the two.
Thanks

They both work well on 10 speed chains. The KMC's are reusable but I think the 10 Speed SRAM are single use (Although many people take them off and put them back on again).

WEll, I've never seen a KMC link have a problem..early sram 10s links did but that was about 2 years ago..Wipperman Connex is another choice.

I've been using the SRAM 11sp links (with Campy chains) as they are the cheapest. I remove and reuse them.

The only link I ever had break was a Wippermann. It was back when they were the only company who made quick links... (I think)
