I would be making a case to keep these.

The Merckx belongs to gomango and the space horse was a local pickup for netdewt. Both are getting delivered to the twin cities this weekend.
If a tall guy feels left out, I can help you too:

Wow, that Merckx looks fabulous. :)
..and he'll love that Space Horse.
That Merckx is headed to Almanzo this year folks and Casey has done another top notch build for me.
Thank you sir.

It still needs a bbg "bash guard".

I'm thinking black
I had a deda dog fang in stock so you should be covered from mishaps, but the chain rubs on the large chainring in the little cog. The smaller guard should be a non issue.
The campy brakes work great by the way. I LOVE how the build turned out. It shifts great, the bars and levers work together in a very nice way, and it goes like a roadie.
The space horse is very nicely made. It's almost new and came with a nice headset and cable stops at a great price. Bought it from the LBS owner.

I want to say its not, but it kinda is...
Long term, I think it will SAVE you money over the moto. What I know is that you will be happier with it. You want wide tires, a rack, and fenders. This is a great way to do that.

I have an extra Rival/Ultegra build kit here, along with the Velocity wheelset. The Velocity set has nearly new Ritchey Speedmaxs along for the ride.
I have extra bars and stems as well.
Heck, we could build up a nice Space Horse pronto with the extras here.

I'll definitely start out with the extra set of Fulcrum CXs here with a fresh set of Strada Biancas. I like the tanwall look with your wheelset Casey, but I bought the SBs so cheap I couldn't resist the regular black set.

I thought about your rival/ ultegra group. It actually would fit the bike fairly well the plan is/was IGH or 1x. The color of the ultegra crank would complement the frame nicely. If you are willing to split it up, I would advocate that at the very least. He also has a vgc tricolor RD and shifters.

I ordered the BBG guard. They had silver in stock, so I just ordered one.
Won't make much difference covered in road slop. :)
