you mean he's finally finishing the frames that people paid for like 4 years ago?

Be careful engaging. Got no axe to grind but the website looks suspect. Charles could do a few a favor by posting the email sent and server info.

That website is fake, or stolen, or whatever. First post is an ad for VOIP? Yeah right.

The guy has to eat somehow so I am not surprised. I have no way to prove or disprove whether he is building again.

As someone who is lucky enough to receive a finished product from him that met most of my expectations (except paint not as durable as I would like), I would be cautiously optimistic and Paul is old enough to know that he had burned some bridges, committed breach of trust, and have quite a bit of work to do in terms of rebuilding his reputation and the public trust.

I won't write him off completely though just as we all need second chances.

But the ball is decidedly in his court and I hope he made good of the opportunity.

Some need 2nd chances and others seem to need 30th chances. Besides, there are many frame builders out there. No need to take a chance on him.

Joachim-pal, that's true also. He probably knows that, at least I hope he does.

No need to get Bernie involved, Banks pull the Bernie every day
using fictional reserve ,,,, over book 10 to 1.

Market is such there's plenty of reliable builders out there. Why anyone would give even a nickel to someone who's got a reputation otherwise for less than reliable delivery is beyond me.

Well, one caveat, if said unreliability is dealt with honestly and candidly with prospective buyers, and appropriate amends are made with burned customers. Even then....

and if he delivers give him back his deposit.

Does he build on good faith?

I'd hope at this point that he'd build sans deposit in an attempt to build up some goodwill.

Isn't there a mob with torches and pitchforks roaming the country in search of him? This could be useful information for them.

I've said a few things in anger about the situation but quite honestly I'd be pretty happy to see him turn things around. Despite the frustration of having all but kissed a fully-paid (mind you, at a discount) frame goodbye, I actually enjoy talking with Paul and think he builds a nice bike. I'm not even going to cross my fingers, but it'd be nice to see him pick up the pieces and make things right.

That "crap guy" that you speak of footed the bill for this place for many moons after it was the Serotta Forum...

You may want to reconsider buying his excellent leather handlebar wrap as besides it being a great product, Ray is a passionate guy with regards to cycling, this forum and his product.

Thanks for reading.
