Don't see these every day or ... ever.
No connection to seller, etc.

It's rare you see a Mariposa pop up for sale let alone two of them. One bike I'd love to own. Just seems like they never show up in 650b and my size.

From ad: "These were toured in Ontario and Europe in the mid / late 1980's and into the early 1990's. They have been sitting unused since.
These have been sitting on floor-level of a Northern Ontario barn for around 2 decades! This set was custom built for the couple."
There's a story in there somewhere. Strikes me as sad.

The lesson here is never take your touring bike to cottage country; you might forget it there.
Anyone want to go on a Marinoni-hunting expedition in Maniwaki? How about Alcyon-trapping in Parry Sound. Mariposas in Bancroft, then?

Can't seem to recall anyone ever taking pics of their bikes on a TOILET b4 :(
Nice bikes though!

He's got a little store in downtown Toronto (882 College St.) called "My Little Bike Shop." Sells high end used bikes. Lots of campy, lugged steel, etc.

Mariposas are one of my white whales, those bikes look absolutely amazing. Hope they find a new happy home...

And the lid makes a stunning backdrop for the original receipt...
Hope they cleaned that thing first
The guy selling them is the biggest bike flipper in Toronto - probably paid no more than $500.
Cam is a decent dude though. His shop is amazing.

Oh my. That's a short list bike for me and I am always on the lookout. But, I am in between these two size wise:)

Not familiar with Mariposa's, but those are the funniest photos of bikes ever...
