Hey all! I have a friend who has this Colorado LT overseas and is willing to ship it to me here in the states for cheap. It has just been sitting in storage for a while. No dents or dings. I feel as though with a little elbow grease it could be a very nice bike. My question to the experts is what would be a fair offering price for the bike. Maybe a high/low price on the f/f, and also complete as I am not very familiar with pricing of Serottas. I’m mostly interested in the f/f at this point so what would be a fair offering price for f/f, and then complete. He knows i’m not looking to pay very much, nor is he expecting very much. We both want to walk away from the deal feeling good. Anything is appreciated, cheers!

I bought a Colorado 2 frame and fork from ebay 2 years ago for $300 (which i thought was a very good deal). The frame was in mint condition and I was the only bidder. I love that frame, stiff but incredibly comfortable. Here’s mine http://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=145673

FWIW that's a Colorado LT. Second in line below the Colorado II. Check the catalogs, I had an LT by the way and liked it very much. Assuming shipping is around 100, I'd do 250 at the most for F/F/HS and if he could throw other stuff in that box, the better ;)

I've been trying to grab a serotta lately. $350-450 seems like the going rate. At $350 them move fast and at $500 they sit.

Thanks for the feedback thus far! I agree with the the pricepoint assessments thus far. That is actually where I was at in my mind, so that’s good to know.

@vav, ah ha, after looking a bit closer at the tt I see that is is an LT. Don’t know anything about it, but am going to check the archives. If it’s on the stiffer side that would be good because i’m in the Clydesdale group.

Also, if memory serves me right, I sold mine here in the forum for around $ 250 shipped after a fresh powder coating and brand new decals.

I actually bought VAV's frame last year and that price is about right, although the finish work was not to my liking.

Nice riding frame, easy to see why it was the second-best frame offered that year. Tange tubing drawn Colorado style, so larger diameter at the bottom bracket than at the seat cluster and head lugs.

It's at Al Wanta's right now getting resprayed, well worth the investment in my opinion.

For a frame that does not require more than touchup, $350 is a good price.

In the 5th image posted, does the weld at the brake bridge where it attaches to the ds stay look odd? Kinda has the appearance of an al weld. Maybe just the photo.

Cool. That's a rarely seen (by me) 1991 Colorado LT. Tange Prestige, fully lugged, top tube cable guides, and S bend stays. Colorado IIs had Columbus tubing, internal cable routing, and at least early in 1991 had fillet brazed BB and the less obviously bent stays.

I don't know if anyone puts much value on model rarity of Serotta's, but the LT is considerably harder to find than the CII. I'd love to have it to go with my 1991 CII and NHX, would only be lacking a Phinney then.

Are you having Wanta doing the original color fade? That would be sooo cool

I agree vav. When Doc gets tired of it I can buy it. That's the same color as my NHX, so I'd have a matched pair.

Yeah, that ds SS bridge weld looks a little lumpy to me... and is there a dent in the top of the tt (about a third of the way back from the ht... kinda on the right side) or it just a kink in the cable housing causing the illusion of a dent?

Jimmy T, I agree. Worth checking out, could be a repair.

Oliver/VAV, not going with the fade. Instead think 93 Mustang Reef Blue, a dark teal. Pretty close to the metal flake teal from Serotta that year as a factory color. White decals. I'm not yet disclosing the groupset....
