What I found even more telling is the fact that some guys actually offered help to the pretty blonde girl even though they apparently knew that she was trying to steal the bike. Guess that confirms another stereotype about us men ;)

That video is a little depressing. When I worked as an assistant district attorney the common thread with bike thieves that I noticed was heroin addiction. A lot of them were so wasted it really didn't seem like they knew what they were doing.

Here's the thing: you look at a video illustrating a mainstream majority responding a certain way against a minority with a history of being discriminated against, and you respond with that.

When YOU look in the mirror, do you see someone who is concerned with a historical civil rights issue, or an old guy who is scared of young black males due to watching Fox News and listening to talk radio? Do you share emails discussing other forms of discrimination or just pieces like that one? Have you looked at the FBI's hate crime statistics? Honestly.
