Anyone reccommend a relatively inexpensive threadless carbon fork (alloy steer) for long reach brakes? Thanks.

The only such fork I know of is the Interloc Racing Design Mosaic 57. These are optional forks on Soma and Gunnar's Sport framesets.

may not be right price, but the wound up fork is well regarded by the folks at hampsten cycles, FWIW.

I just finished an all out assault on the internet looking for a long reach carbon fork, and pretty much the only ones I found are mentioned above. (Interloc and Wound up). There are more options if you are interested in cantilever brakes.

Co-Motion has a long reach fork option for one of their machines...It might also be an IRD though...

Bontrager/Trek for their Pilot series bikes, 57mm reach brakes.

There is also a disc knock off the Wound Up listed too.

I recently put the Interloc Mosaic 57 on my bike and I like it a lot. It's very smooth and it's plenty stiff. It's made by Tange.

I believe the Trek Pilot fork is just a renamed bontrager. The one on the trek pilot has one of these silly integrated headsets believe.

Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like I will look at steel forks as well. Too bad so few carbon long reach forks are available.

Major,

I have the WoundUP on my Moots Mootour and it has been a wonderful fork...Not to stiff, not to flexy and fairly close to the feel of a steel fork...

Similarly pleased with the long reach Wound Up on my Spectrum. Not even that ugly once you get used to it. Easy clearance for fenders with Michelin 25s. Tight but doable with a true 27-28 like a Roly Poly.
