Good way to get ridden over, kicked and/or have a bottle thrown at you.

I took this photo on the corner of Bay and Laguna streets, Grand Prix of San Francisco late 90's BUT I was on the sidewalk in the prone position. The racer later quit racing and is one of the first American pros to quit out of disgust about doping and for the life of me I forgot his name.

For those who think Tyler causes every crash now, here are a couple of links for folks to assign responsibility in this case:

That's not a photographer. It's Tyler Farrar.

That's not nice. Funny, but not nice.

I remember seeing a photo many moons ago of an early 70s pro sprint (no clue what the race was), with riders curb to curb going all out, maybe ten meters from the finish line. All except Roger de Vlaeminck, who was more or less on the extreme right sight of the charging mass (my right, his left) looking up with a fairly surprised look on his face. I wondered why, until I realized that he was aimed directly at the camera lens and the shot was taken not far beyond the finish line.

I suspect M. Paris-Roubaix did not have kind words for the photog.

They didn't call Abdu "the Tashkent Terror" for nothing, but at least he was supposed to be on the road, unlike a certain photographer in the OP.
