I'm looking for more gear for my cross build. Can I run a 12-30 with a normal 105 rear derailleur ? Should I source a different rear derailleur?
Any input is much appreciated!
Thanks,

It should work just fine! :)
Shimano's gear restrictions are conservative for RD's.

It'll shift it fine provided the RD will wrap enough chain.
105 5700 RD with 11-32 cassette. No issues.
