Anyone know an LBS in NYC that carries Ass-savers (http://ass-savers.com/)? I'm racing on Sunday and, well, it looks like it might be wet out.

Can't run those in a race. And I need them by Sunday 7:00am.

I never tried to do it in a race, but can't you just cut a plastic milk or orange juice container and zip tie it to your saddle rails or chain stays? Used to do that all the time on nasty training rides.

Hey Christian don't despair if you don't find one. I have an official ass-saver myself and because they are placed so high re. The rear wheel they only keep about 6 inches of your ass clean. So depending on how big you are I would call this a half-ass saver or something. But I agree... Better than nothing!

Racing in Central Park has to be done early so everyone else can use the park!

Speaking of rain, the Red Hook Crit tomorrow is gonna be a real challenge for the riders with all the rain they're projecting..

If you're racing at the Red Hook Crit I'm pretty sure they'll have them there - aren't half-ass-savers sponsoring the event?

No, Bethel crits.

Actually ebaumann is going to RHC though. Hey, Eric, wanna pick me up one? I'll pay ya back when you drop the fork.

Christian - I have a bunch of Red Hook Crit branded ass-savers (my roommate is one of the organizers). I'd be happy to just give you one or two. If you need it by sunday morning though, I was planning to go to this event (https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-j3yAxy2PRT4/Uy2MU6Xn6FI/AAAAAAAABTA/8787Bs1eVWI/s512/Gangs%2520of%2520NY.jpg) at Rapha NYC tomorrow (sat.) afternoon. ( I live in Brooklyn)

but tbh, in my experience they don't do a whole lot

I'll homebrew a set for Sunday, but Adam, if your roommate has any spares after the weekend, I'd love to pick up 2 or 3.

See you at Bethel. This is one clinic I'm not motivated to teach. Cold, OK. Wet, OK. Windy, OK. Cold, wet and windy? Ugh. I'm bringing three sets of everything and a pile of towels.
