Seat tube clamp, weld-on or clamp-on?

What is the best way to go here please?

...what is technically the best, but Moots and Spectrum are the only Ti makers which I know of which use the brazed on variety.

I have seen a really need one from Giant on their aluminum frame which is brazed on and has two bolts, one above the other. The screw in in opposite directions in order to even out the clamping force.

It is my firm belief that the clamp-on seat collars which are on most bikes are extremely lame. The excuse normally given is that if you strip the threads it is easy to replace where the brazed on type are not.

Well, so be it. But on my multi-thousand dollar frame I guess I want the brazed on variety. Just looks a lot better to my eyes.

The Giant one is the best I have seen, with the two bolts. Very clean and I am sure very effective.
