My most fun eBay deal ever.

I have been scaling back on the pack and put my 1989 Look KG96 on the bay. Then I got an email from the Look USA head of marketing asking if I would consider a trade so he could put my KG96 in the Look museum. What fun! We worked out a very nice deal involving a bunch of Look gear. Most importantly, I'm just thrilled it's going on display. And, I'm also throwing in a couple of sets of early pedals for the collection.

That's great... how about a photo before it becomes famous!

Here it is in both SS and geared forms. I don't have the original fork, but they wanted it anyway.

That is a great story. And good for Look for a creative way to find items.

He posted an ad in the classifieds here looking for stuff as well. Frequent forum member and good-dude.

Glad your stuff found a great home!

Nice!

Have a soft spot for Looks. It was my first carbon bike and the KG381 and subsequent KG481 fit me like the proverbial glove. Only my Serotta Attack fits as well.

That's pretty cool. The Look KG96 was tops on the exotic bike list back in the day.

Neat story of how a good bike ended up. I bought one of these back in the day. Later sold it to a friend so I still get to see it on rides.

Cool stuff. Love the look of those frames. You plan on visiting the museum when it goes on display?

They reached out to me, too. Someone from Look USA wanted my Look, but i think they'd have to pry it from my cold, dead hands. ;)

These look bikes are amazing as I already stated but I am particularly fond of gaucho's. Very lovely. Hope to own one myself one day....

I work for the Colnago museum. Anyone? Anyone?

I'm surprised they'd be interested without the original fork - to me that really impacts it for their purpose. Looks like a great bike to ride, but as a museum piece with a replacement fork? I don't see it.

Gaucho's seems far more appropriate for their purpose.

Thanks, but, to be honest, I was surprised they inquired since mine does not have original paint.
