Iljo Keisse is one of the more sympathetic figures in the Peloton. Some of you may remember him from his solo win in the Tour of Turkey that brought Joy to Cycling Fans Globally! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ru3vGR8nck) If you're not familiar with his life, it has had periods that are pretty tragic. Good to see a small victory in this saga. He's got to be an incredible tough individual.

A Belgian Court of Appeals decided today that the UCI must pay Belgian cyclist Iljo Keisse (Omega Pharma-Quick Step) a fine of €100,000 for wrongfully banning him from competition.

The court made this same decision in March, 2012, but the UCI appealed.

The ruling is but one more in a long series of court cases that dates back to the positive doping test that Keisse returned at the Six Days of Gent in November 2008.

I didn't realize it either. Makes that Tour of Turkey stage even better.

Such tragedy in his life. I can't imagine. He's still so young.

Yep. I have to admit, any time I hear his name during a race, I really hope for him to have a great result.
