Worst flaws in the paint were the rear wheel pulled out of the dropouts because of a POS skewer:

Bump for a good guy. I was with Big Matt when said skewer failed. We had to make the call of shame.

Big,

Bunch of IFs here...

If you part the bike out and if the shifters are in very good condition and in very good working order, i would be interested it them.

Go Green.

Beautiful frame. What's the deal with the scar on the seat tube?

Edit: Oops--sorry. didn't see the explanation under. Is it down to the metal, or more of a scuff on the paint?

What's the TT length? If memory serves, 59.3cm was the longest TT Merckx ever made on a stock frame, but I've never seen a 64. Been looking for a 61+TT Merckx forever.

If this were local, I would buy it in a heart beat.
Bump for a great deal.

I just took another look and I am pretty sure it is just scuffs in the paint. I have only used a cloth and some bike wash to try and clean it off previously. I haven't tried any thing else to see if the tire marks will come off, but the tire did take some of the decal away. There is also a mark on the chain stay that is down even more, but that is just showing the chrome that is underneath the paint.

I never realized it was as big of a seat tube until I measured it up for the ad. I always assumed it was a 62cm frame. If the longest top tube Merckx made was 59.3cm then this would be one of those.

Nope, money only. I'm unemployed and my truck needs some repairs after the winter roads have done a number on my front suspension.

I'm very interested in the frame only if you decide to part out.

Is this in PHX?

I could save myself some shipping hassle and heartache if I had a bike that lived in PHX. Esp. a 64cm Merckx.

If you want to work something out with him, it can live at my PHX home. I'll give you a key. Matt is a good friend, you are a good friend. Work it out between the two of you.

Matt, give Jason a good deal, and ship it to my place in AZ.

Yes, Jason and Matt, please take immediate advantage of zmudshark's kind offer. This listing is killing me, and I really want it to get sold already so I'll stop plotting bank jobs and looking for gigolo gigs to pay for it.

So please, guys, do me a solid, okay? :help:

I can't help but check in on this and the Concorde MAX a few times a day. Both have top tubes about 2 cm too short for me, but big MAX frames are so darn rare.

The only thing giving me pause is that I was wanting something that would take wider tires. Anyone know what I can squeeze in there?

What's the saddle height in the photo? Also, what's the biggest tire that fits?

With the crank in the lowest position center of pedal spindle to top of saddle is 42" or center of BB to top of saddle is 35.1" Bike has 23mm wide tires and will fit 25mm tires. I doubt it will fit much larger especially in the frame. Fork has more clearance than the chain stays do.
