Something truly beautiful and yet I think of it as the "good luck riding at Haines Point Festival."

Not myopic at all.

This is the view from my apartment after yesterday's snow dump. I am quite ready for spring... hoping it arrives before May.

Tell me about it. The snow that had previously pelted the Seacoast area was finally starting to melt. I planned on riding Tuesday morning, but the overnight chill froze all the melted snow....and then Wednesday it rained all day and then yesterday's snow (short but pretty intense and cold) and subsequent freezing of said snowfall has prevented me from getting a single ride outside yet.

And the roads are another story........

Matt T, Come On Down!!

It'll be in the mid-20s if we're lucky.

Nice view from the deck - I'm sure the birds appreciate the suet.

Where's the apartment? (probably new since I left in '84)

Louis,

I am in Lebanon (to the South of Hanover) near Alice Peck Day Hospital. Link to Google Map (https://www.google.com/maps/@43.6438339,-72.2743809,16z)

The suet was a birthday gift from my mom, unfortunately it hasn't seen much use yet. Two theories: 1) it has been so cold that there haven't been many birds around to see it, and it is up quite high compared to other feeders so they may not be looking for it. 2) there is a gap of maybe 75 feet from where the suet is (on the 3rd floor) and the nearby trees. Apparently birds don't like to fly that distance in the open, as it exposes them to predators.

It is a nice view! Can't wait for spring, when the local club does MTB rides starting 30 seconds from my door and heading into the area pictured.

A better caption for my photo might have been: "What is the season 'spring' that you speak of?"

Suet can make a mess in the warmer weather, so hopefully they discover and use it before that.

Looks like the MTB trailhead is a few hundred yards from the apartment parking lot - talk about out-the-door riding :)
