I have some bike related items that I want to purchase from a company in Europe and they want a wire transfer to their bank. Is there an inexpensive online option? I have done some business transfers at my bank before and it was a hassle and expensive.

I would question why they want a wire transfer. As you know, they can be expensive and you do not have the fraud protection offered by a credit card company.

Contact Ryan Barker at Commonwealth (http://www.comfex.com/) in RI. Usually just a few tenths of a % over the spot rate.

Or try Intuit Payment Network. $0.50 per transaction.

If they don't accept Bitcoin directly then find a trusted forum member, transfer Bitcoin to him, and have him make a local transfer.

I have to ask why no CC accepted?
A wire transfer doesn't allow much room for dispute resolution.

Perfect reason to use Bitcoin if they accept it. Cut the middleman out... Down with the banks, Vive le Revolucion!

Its a pro cycling team, they are not setup to take credit cards or bitcoin. The only issue is what I am buying is not expensive so the shipping fees and wire transfer fees are almost as much as the items.

xe.com Been using them for years between here and the US. Works well, last I looked the least expensive method of sending money between currencies. Only minor hassle is the need to open an account with them so it's not like do it today and it's done. I like them, works well, no hassles, wire transfers and EFTs, even by check if desired.

I would not do a wire transfer. I might do electronic funds transfer....usually free. I usually use Paypal for foreign bike part buys. Cheapest simplest way.

Take a chill pill dudes: bank transfers are how people pay for stuff online in Europe because their banking system is--how do I put this nicely--more robustly set up than ours. Until recently the big German mail order sites didn't even accept credit cards or Paypal.

The cost of items is only 45 Euros including shipping from Belgian. Heck my back changes like $30 just to do the wire transfer.
