My first Serotta. Thanks to Ty for the trade. I'm blown away with the ride quality. Took a little fussing with spacing to get the BB30 cranks installed but they're dialed now. A23 wheelset courtesy of Echelon John.

I like it. One bottle cage?

Would you recommend the English-BB30 conversion, or only if you really had to? Who makes it?

Still deciding what I want to do with cages (black or stainless).

I would recommend the BSA30 BB. Rotor makes a good one. It takes a little fussing to get the cranks spaced and centered in the frame. Basically you take out the DS spacer and preload thingy and go back to the prior gen spacers and wavy washer. In my case it was a good solution as I didn't want to have to sell the BB30 quarq.

I didn't realize there were any BB30 Ottrotts.

Or carbon on down tube and stainless on seat tube.

You need a converter to use BB30 on a Serotta since all are English threaded. The recent Pronto is the exception.

Only if ya gotta. Threaded BB ala thewayit'sbeenfirdecadez is a superior design.

This was my first thought but thinking it might look too coordinated. King stainless might be the best bet. Thanks for the recommendations.

I was not aware that a BSA to BB30 adapter existed.

they are hard to find now, but cannondale used to make a titanium carbon cage that would compliment that bike perfectly.

awesome build, enjoy it!

Looks great! Good to see this bike put to good use. I see you went with F3 over the F2 fork. Excellent decision. I think the F3 is the best fork ever made!

I love those cannondale cages. I regret not getting them when they were being closed out.

Get some decent riding tires and it will be even smoother. Vittoria Open Pave CG are durable and a lot smoother riding. Continental 4 Grix might ride better also.

Probably cannot find a better bike!

So true. UGGs, as I call Gatorskins, are one of the two worst riding tires I have ever ridden. Specialized Flak Jackets (I think that's what they were called) were also awful. Like riding square tires. Better tires will make a huge difference in ride quality. Huge.

Thanks for the lead on that cage. I've never seen one before. Its hard to see in the pic but I'm running a Specialized Roubaix tubeless tire in the back which helps with ride. I'll take a look at the Vittoria.

I was only able to make out the Gatorskin on the front. Tubeless are even better than the Vittoria open case as long as your are comfortable with using tubeless; but the Vittoria would be a close second.

Nothing but the best for the Ottrott. I would go with King stainless or titanium or Arundel metal or carbon bottle cages.

V OP CG are supple but a little susceptible to flats.
C GP 4S are more puncture resistant but a firmer ride.
with a service car following me i would ride Vs.

King ti cages would match the class of that rig. Second best - stainless.

The bike should be in a cycle calendar for the month of March... beautiful.
