Two Serotta water bottles for $ 45 +...?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Serotta-Bicycles-Water-Bottles-NEW-Pair-/121286155458?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c3d37dcc2

I bought two because they matched my bike but if I had known....probably would have bought a few pairs :) Or maybe the allure is that Serotta is gone...

Given the origins of this forum, I imagine a WTB for Serotta bottles would bring many out of the woodwork. Though valuable to some, I'm sure there is all sorts of Serotta swag sitting in boxes that folks would be willing to move along to someone who cares.

3 rolls of red Serotta branded bar tap just went for over $80 on ebay!

In recent years, Serotta didn't offer much swag so it makes sense that anyone wanting some would "pay up".

Imagine what one of these would go for now!

Yes, I too have been cruising for Serotta swag. I mentioned these bottles to my cycling group yesterday and they were calling BS on my $25 a Serotta water bottle, and as of this post the auction is still in play. Yes, there is a tremendous enthusiasm and appreciation for Serotta frames, and now swag. Working on my 20 posts to post a WTB for that very reason. Incredible looking Ottrott you have there, but what is it doing in a graveyard?:)

I still have several of these! (If anybody is interested!)

I believe these were a Dave Thompson production?

I'll be posting this in the classifieds for $145. Don't even insult me with low-ball offers.

Trades considered though....

The last I looked, Rapha bottles were going for $21/each...but the Serotta bottles are more vertically compliant.

It's quite poetic, and symbolic. Steinbeck would be proud.

Every time I list something for sale the first 5 questions are "what's it weigh?". It doesn't matter whether it's a frame, wheels or even a jersey!

Me thinks many wives will be pleasantly surprised that the bike/parts storage area has suddenly been cleaned and organized. Just don't let them know how much you got for the Serotta waterbottles.

I think your single ST bearing replacement post is easily worth 500 posts for its contribution value

Shucks, I have a bunch of water bottles from one of the anniversary get togethers at the factory. I'll even leave the patina on them. I bet they'll be even more valuable that way.

I threw these at some spectators on a charity ride last year...you know, sort of a pro move...and after watching me climb, they picked them up and threw them back at me...

This morning, burnt into my toast was an image of Ben...
I wonder what it will be worth on eBay since all the Serotta stuff is priced through the roof.

I have never seen such a large bottle? Are you sure it is not the water tower from Saratoga Springs? It dwarfs those riders...

I think giving $45 to a charity makes a lot more sense than buying water bottles at the same price.
