Here... (http://illinoispolicy.org/warning-cyclists-may-be-fined-1000-for-taking-hands-off-bike-while-riding/?utm_campaign=Wildfire+Message+-+If+you’ve+taken+both+hands+off+your+handlebars...&utm_content=po_883082&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook)

Still risking to get fined a grand if you take both hands off while in motion (only carrying a package?).
Curious how many cops are actual aware of this nonsense. ;)

Makes me crazy to see them try to legislate their fiscal shortcomings to death, with stupid laws like this!

Another thing politicians do to make it look like they are doing something without really doing anything. Stupid!

the cops have much better things to do than bust cyclists for that around here... plus they'd have to understand the original law to understand the proposed change.

You have to wonder how many people were crashing due to carrying stuff in one hand and riding with the other... and was this really high enough on the list of things that cause accidents to be worth the legislature's time?

Anyway, I'd probably be in trouble if they did that in MA. :p

So is it illegal when those clowns talk on their cellphone while riding their bikes with one hand on the bars?
