Traditional quill stem, 31.8 bar clamp

Does anyone make a traditional quill stem with a 31.8 bar clamp, searched however did not find anything. Custom made only?
Wanting to put modern 31.8 bars on my vintage bike without resorting to a quill adapter.

This same hunt has been sought for ages and no real solution has been found, unfortunately. A solution is to get 26.0 and pick one of the (now many) selections of ergo/compact drops to fit that... or go custom.

The other option is to get a quill adaptor and use a regular threadless stem. I just did it on one of mine. Older 90's road frame with a threaded fork, slightly upgraded. Doesn't look bad.

What he said..I don't think anybody made a quill, 31.8mm stem...too much time passed between threadless intro and 31.8 silliness.

Origin8 makes a 31.8 quill stem but it's ugly.

There is a Civia bar that is a modern compact drop/reach but 26mm clamp. Nothing exotic, but I'd say perfectly good for that situation.

to the OP. i just picked up a salsa quill stem with a removable faceplate, might be a possible option for you.
