The new Pinarello Paris uses PF30 and I want to move my DA 9000 crank and English BB from my other bike to it. What parts (please list them) would I need to make it work?

I really tried to figure out the answer to this, but I'm still very confused.

People say the praxis conversion bb is the best, but their site shows its for a 68mm shell. Pinarello's have a 70mm shell???

I think they mean a threaded Pinarello would have a Italian threading which is 70mm wide, but yours is PF30 so that doesn't apply?

I thought I was getting a PF30 BB and planned to get a Chris King PF30 BB with appropriate adapters, seemed to be the best solution. (as suggested by other forumites)

If he goes this route, he will also need the adapters- http://wheelsmfg.com/bb-pf30-universal-adapter-for-shimano-cranks.html

Wait. An English threaded? My Pinarello's are Italian.

The new Paris Think 2 framesets are all PF30. The bottom bracket on your BSA(68mm) frameset is no longer needed IF you decide to use a Praxis Conversion bb.

If the far superior Italian threadng, yes 70mm in width but this Pinarello is the 'standard' PFBB30, and use the Wheels or Praxis adapter.

got it. i guess i'll go with the Praxis then. 140g is a lot for a BB though :(

It works better than any other option, and doesn't creak.

Bet you that you'll never tell the difference.

On the plus side weigh in the bb is always better for handling...

Also a pf30 and an adapter are probably lighter as a unit than an aluminum bb shell epoxied into a frame with a bb threaded into it, but that's just a guess.

I use this on my PF30 frame and its fantastic! The new outboard PF30 bb for Hollowtech II or GXP cranks. Screws in similar to Praxis.

Exactly the reason I stick to 68 eng or Italian threaded bb frames. Not only do you need a different bb for cranset you find you need a specific adapter to afix to the new standard also....duh. Yeah I'm showing my age....
