I have a Feedback Sports work stand that has a standard clamp. Problem is that I can't clamp the seat post of my Giant Propel into the stand because of its shape. I've check Feedback's site and it doesn't appear they sell a clamp similar to Park's that will accommodate non-round posts. Is there a trick to getting my stand's clamp to work or do I need to buy a new stand?

Can't clamp that seatmast, so you need a work stand with a fork mount like this one:

Funny, I was looking at that stand a week ago but didn't pull the trigger. I can't afford any more toys right now but when I can I'll buy one.

I learned my lesson with this bike - I will never buy another ISP bike or a bike with an aero seat post again. I swear my next bike is going to be a Colnago or something similar. Old school plastic bike.

This makes me feel unaccountably old.

FWIW I use one of those fork mount stands for all of my steel bikes as well.

I like it, plant my fat butt on a stool and spin the work stand to where I need it.

The innerwebs ate my reply to this this AM.

Giant makes an adaptor for their ISPs to work on regular stands. I have one. You can find em on ebay or you can get one from your local Giant dealer.

Can you rotate the clamp and grab the seat post/mast from the front (opposite of the picture you posted) and set the front wider area in the middle of the clamp, or carefully clamp by the top tube? Unless you need to put a lot of force on the bike in the stand these should support the bike without a lot of clamp pressure so long as you are careful, and realize the limitations of how the bike is held.
Or, as others have mentioned, get the adapters or a different work stand.
