For those that remember the confusion (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=774858&postcount=1) when the web address changed from forum.serotta.com to forums.serotta.com, I wrote a song on that day.

Keith is the man!! Thank for all your hard work bro!
FYI: Don't forget about the Paceline Forum Facebook page. We can try to keep you up to date when issues pop up....which they hopefully won't for a long time.:) You don't have to join FB to see it, only if you want to post to it.

Well at least with the forum being down my data usage on my phone was probably reduced by 90% for the last couple of days.
Thanks for getting it back up and running.

anybody know what actually happened?technically speaking, that is. just curious is all.Two things happened. The first was an attack on our server which put a huge load on this machine which is why you might have seen a time out error. Secondly, our hard drive was failing and this was replaced. Fortunately we had a very recent backup and so nothing was lost.

Two things happened. The first was an attack on our server…... What would be the motivation behind that?

What would be the motivation behind that?Who knows what the motivation is for these so called black hats...but they do cause havoc on the 'net all the time.

Many thanks to Keith-pal once again. Things would have been far worse if not because of the fact that I took three of my muchkins out camping at Pedernales Falls State Park Fri-Sat and was out in the woods with no internet connection anyways.'plus the weather here in Austin has been kinda crazy, take a look, it's only February?! So, I was out riding or at least was able to make alternative plans to be outside.

So....in layman's terms..mechanical hard drive or 'electronic/digital' type?
When it crumps, what happens? Just curious..I am an operator but understand less than nuthin about how all this stuff works.
