Is anyone else having trouble with the new Barfly mount?
I installed a new one last week. My Garmin 500 seems to mount securely, but once on the road, something buzzes. If I squeeze the mount and Garmin, everything goes quiet.

I emailed the Barfly folks over the weekend, ut haven't heard back from them.

Any ideas?

Have three BF 2.0. No issues.

I am using five of these mounts (2.0) and I had to modify every one of them for slipping (rotating). On smooth roads, they work just fine, but in my neck of woods where there are many chip-and-seal sections, which can bump the hell of out of these mounts.

chip-seal sucks! hope you use a lanyard or strap to secure it some way.

I only have two, but my experience aligns with Paul. They're quiet as can be.

Mine buzzed as well, but I had my 500 mounted on a k-edge mount before I bought the barfly. I found out that the aluminum mount took off a minimal amount of the mounting tab on the Garmin. Just enough to cause it to shake around a bit.

I have no issues with the 2.0 or the 3.0. If you don't hear from them send another e-mail, the communication I've had with them is great.

Forgot to mention that I am using Edge 800 with these Barfly mounts. Those of you who do not have issues might be using the 500 or 200, which are lighter.
