View Full Version : The mother of all bike FS threads - 22 bikes + framesets!

After 25 years of collecting, it's time to set some free. There are 22 complete bikes listed, as well as three framesets and a couple component "groups." This is a work in progress that I just started and will update as I get time.

I am working on getting all of this stuff together and getting pics and the rest of specs. There are some updated pics and specs towards the bottom of page 4 and also on 5. Priority goes to those seriously interested. Some of these bikes are pictured in threads here on the Paceline and the former Serotta site.

Prices are net to me. If you feel the prices are too high, make me an offer. Unless otherwise indicated, bikes don't include saddles, pedals, GPS mounts, cages, bags etc. You have your own favorites anyway.

I will ship and can have a shop professional pack. If you want to visit with a trailer, I'll help load it up! In fact, come visit and rummage in my parts bins.

I'm located in Arkansas and can possibly meet in Dallas and/or Memphis and/or Pensacola, FL.

I have tons of references and have met with some forumites who can vouch for me and my bikes.

NOTE: photobucket is holding my pics hostage. I am migrating pics to Flickr. Let me know if you need pics and I'll send you the link/s.

There are some specs and pics Here (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=1498821&postcount=57) and Here (http://forums.thepaceline.net/showpost.php?p=1499099&postcount=71) and Here (http://tinyurl.com/ksb99t2). There are also pics throughout this lengthy post.

I have made some package deals throughout the thread. Here they are:
1. Hooligan & three quarters: Buy the Hooligan Alfine 11, as pictured, and get another set of Hooligan Lefty 3 speed IGH wheels; a Lefty fork; a new Project 123 Lefty hub; and a blasted Hooligan frame. You could basically build another Hooligan. $1150 net for all + packing & shipping.

2. Buy both Bilenkys for $2000 net + packing and shipping. Yes, that's really two complete fillet brazed, Signature Bilenkys for $2000!

3. SOLD!

4. Buy the Bill Brown 29er with suspension fork and get the custom Waltworks rigid fork AND a pair of brand new, 29er disk wheels for $1250 net + shipping & packing.

Hooooly mooooly. This spells trouble for a lot of paceliners. Paypal account balances are being checked. Numerous conversations with spouses are taking place...

Beautiful. what i appreciate is the nod to both the classic, the handmade and the inclusion of some very eclectic mtb choices

Of course I went through the list before even checking the sizes...dumb me. Saved (or not)...slightly big!

Of all I would want the Montare to have a do-over on my first mtb. Ok, maybe the MB-1. I had to settle for the HKEK at $699 because I could not come up with the $800 for the Montare...and the red one (nto the blue/white one) too.

That said...no room for vintage in my garage.

I love your taste, am about your size!
I have been selling/saving for a new modern MTB, but am tempted by the Serotta Classique ti... and the cannondale hooligan! I have seen those little wheeled bikes around... they are just too cool.

Can you humor a tire-kicker with pics of those? Might help with the sale, anyway.

I should buy stock in Fedex due to this post!

I'll get some pics of those for you.

The Hooligan is currently setup with an Alfine 11 wheelset and Hydro brakes. To say that it's an awesome little bike is an understatement! It'd be perfect for riding around the Cape!

Thanks. You should check with mombat.org about the vintage mountain bikes. You might be able to donate for a tax deduction and help out the museum? Or start your own museum!

Tell me more about the hooligan.

Does frame set include the crazy large diameter, several feet long seatpost?

Would you sell it complete?

I have a compete Hooligan listed in addition to a frame. The frame is just a bare frame. Offhand, I don't think the seatpost is a proprietary width. I bet there're a Thomson out there that'll work.

Yes! I hate updated pics I will post hen I get back to work. I bought it here on the forum as a frameset. It's gorgeous! I also had a. Atom Waltworks rigid fork made that we can discuss.

Way ahead of its time...good luck with your fire sale!
I have it pared down to one bike right now
And have had similar thoughts about letting go of the fleet!
Would love to hear more about the story...

Here are some pics of the Bob Brown. The frameset includes the XTR crankset with Gates ring; the bottom bracket; headset; and custom matched suspension fork.

I also have a custom segmented black Waltworks fork that was made for this. It's disc ready and can be yours for an additional $150.
