My friends shop has been around since 1919. It ceased being an active auto repair shop about 6 years ago but gets most of its use as a hangout/bike restoration facility/garbage dump

That Limongi is very nice. It may be entirely chromed under the paint, he did that a lot. Are any of the dropout ends chromed?

what's up with the confederate flag?
buldogge

Especially considering it's in RI!
I hope his great-(great-?)grandfather took it as war relic (doubt it, unfortunately).
Looks like a little more clean-up is still needed…

i wouldnt read too much into the Confederate flag-it served as the bathroom door at one point
as for the chrome ends Anarchist. the bike was a mess when he got it. he repainted the entire frame/fork so im not sure if anything was initially chromed

Only thing missing is a fridge for the

the light blue frame is a Masi
fridge is about 6 feet to the left of the flag
and yes those are all stems in front of the window
Kerosene heaters are The Debil! Too many goodies to lose to a fire, especially the Model A! What year?
Love the "New Car Races" poster. Bought a 65cm Trek 610 from a guy in Birmingham who is an Alabama Power machinist and car guy. Coolest garage I've ever seen. Lots of 50's-70's vintage posters, metal signs, dirt track photos on the walls.

Cool shop, awesome bike.
When I saw the flag I had to scroll up to see if where you are from was listed/
I'm living in Alabama, now 20 years and just about every time I see one of those I throw up in my mouth a little. Not so much the flag but what it's usually attached to.

Love that Limongi! See plenty of them here in Montreal. Friend of mine was Limongi's apprentice back in the early nineties, unfortunately he passed away shortly after starting with Limongi.
PS According to my friend, Paul who passed away, Limongi was Laurent Fignon's frame builder. Frames were built in Limongi's Trois-Rivieres shop then shipped to France to be painted and decaled.

Just can't understand how/why someone winds up with THAT many bikes. I mean, I get that we all need N+1 bikes and I normally have one or more than I really should, but having that many just seems crazy. Assuming most/none of them ever get ridden.....shame they're not out on the road.
