I have a pair laced to Hed C2 rims. The finish is beautiful and the bearings are very smooth. Although I wanted to build a wheel set with Campy hubs, the silver variety are getting ridiculous in price and so these were a cheaper (and just as "good") an alternative.

Some will not like this when I say it again, but their bearing preload method, in this era of hubs with adjust plates, is not ideal, IMHO. Set screw crammed into an aluminum axle, to secure an axle end..not my favorite but well made otherwise, easy to OVH, lotsa drillings, Campagnolo and now shimano 11s compatible..made in the US..far better choice than CK, again, IMHO..

I'd give that an ATMO too.

I have had very good luck with mine.

While they are not "angry bees" loud, they do make a noticeably more noisy while freewheeling than, say, Dura-Ace or HED hubs. I don't like it, but some do.

I have M15/T11 on my cross and M16/ENOS on my SS. Haven't had anything go wrong, they roll smooth and there easy to work on.

They are awesome, quality hubs. But, I'm not a fan of the freehub sound either.

I have over 10,000miles on mine and I have not touched the bearing adjustment or the bearings.

Pretty sure the axle is cromo on the H3. I know the current offerings are.

per WI, it doesn't work with Campag 11, but you probably already knew that.

I have had the LTA rear hub for several years on my fair weather wheel -- love it. Beautiful quiet sound, rolls very well.

The H3 IS for Campy 11s the H2 had issues hence the H3.

You're correct: The H3 rear hub uses a steel axle.

There is no H3 front hub but the H2 front hub uses an aluminium axle.

5k miles on my h3 rear and it's held up swimmingly. I've done some servicing but only as a matter of habit. They were running fine when I did it.

I have been trying to find a side by side shot of H2/H3's next to the new
T11's. Any links?

the beautiful design of these hubs is reason enough to purchase them. Beneath the good looks is a well conceived design which builds a strong wheel & is easily serviced. The set on my road bike has well over 10K miles & the wheel set on the cross/gravel/rain bike has gone over 5K miles through awful conditions & has performed perfectly.

When I contacted wheelbuilders, most recommended WI hubs over many other options. When price enters the equation, there's not a better choice. Don't fret about the silver finish being un-anodized. It won't corrode & will clean up to a mirror shine with a little polish.

It was mentioned earlier but I've had issues with hubs that have an allen key type adjustable bearing tension system.

I haven't tried white industries hubs other than I had a ENO for a short time but both my CK's and Zipps worked their way loose after some time. Seems like after they work loose they never adjust properly after that.

I've had great luck with the Alchemy, Durace 9000 and other where bearing preload is set. I'm a heavier rider and I ride rough roads...that might be the difference.

I'm also a heavy rider and have not had any problems with my White Industries hubs in 8K+ miles. No play at all.
