as a road-bike, the front end would work good (nice and stiff) but i'd probably want something with a rear-end that's inactive when standing (like a schwinn homegrown).

very cool anyways. never seen that style of wheels before, either.

I'm still interested in suspended road bikes, but it seems few others are. I've ridden a beam bike and thought it would be great to have suspension on the front too. Tonight I had my first ride on a road bike with a Headshok. Even though I only went a mile (it was -5), I already found myself thinking it would be great to have the same compliance at the rear wheel.

I'd give that Pro-Flex a try, but the BB height might be a serious drawback with my 83 cm saddle height.

Is that slx shifters and a Campagnolo RD? What cassette are they running? Does something work without modification?

yep, modern veloce 11 rear mech and some sort of asian trigger-shifters -- wonder how he got those to work together?!

i'd like to try a suspended road-bike too. wouldnt take much travel to be useful. maybe 1cm up front and 2cm in back and pretty firm spring-rates & damping. just to take the edge of sharp hits of the sort that loosen up my fillings every spring up here in MI.

That looks like a blast. I have an old Futec Roadrunner I hope to build-up soon.

Had a ProFlex 853 MTB for a couple years. Wanted to like it but....

The rear swingarm was perfectly positioned to interfere with FD adjustment. There was a access hole drilled in the arm to the FD clamp bolt, but from a somewhat wonky angle. Getting the FD dialed in was a little twiddly.

If I were rebuilding one of these today, I'd go 2x10 or even single chainring.
