a lonely friday night last month i dedicated some time to patching old tubes, one of which was a slow leak on a bike i'd been actively riding/refilling, etc.

the culprit was undetectable until i filled a sink with water and rolled the tube through. honing in on the stream of bubbles led me to a piece of hair, from my dog.

i've had hair splinters before so the concept of a piece of hair piercing/embedding isn't foreign to me, but having a piece of dog hair cause a flat was unexpected.

i now change my tubes in a dedicated clean room at a local facility to prevent any contaminants.

No unusual flat stories to tell, just chiming in that hair splinters are the worst. And, you must have one coarse-haired dog!

That's not a dog, that's a porcupine.

I think we need a picture of your dog before commenting further.

This is an amazing thread. Never heard of a dog hair doing that.

Thanks for sharing!
