Anybody interesting in helping me set up a swap meet in the next month or so? Venue suggestions and advice are also welcome! Thanks

There is the Brooklyn Bike Jumble coming up on May 10th

There's a meet at the East River Bar in BK occasionally, loosely organized by XUP.

thanks for the info guys! We want to start the same type of swap meet up in the CT and Westchester area for all the riders up here. Its a matter of getting the word out and we appreciate all the help we can get.

I am happy to help; I need to sell a stash of parts.
Not sure how big it would be immediately; riders here are more spread out than in the City obviously. Best bet would be a community center - Chappaqua's is available for rent, but is very small.
I think it's a great idea to kick off; in the spring, it might be cool to do it in Bethel and try to coordinate with Aki's series.

Hey Christian Im glad you are on board! I like your idea to see about adding it to the Bethel Spring seriesn - will check with Aki. Once a venue is nailed down I will send out word to the Gimbel's/Greenwich ride email lists.

Thanks for the info guys. I'd like to make the February one, but with the weather we've been having, there's no guarantee it won't be covered in 6 inches of snow.

Which one? The Bike Jumble is annual for the last 5 years (www.nybikejumble.com) . The Times Up one is a first time event

I'm in NYC, too. I'd love to see another swap meet around the metro area.

I didn't see this as I didn't look at the thread until now.
There's a possible (outdoor) venue that I have in mind that might work and be somewhat appropriate. It would be about a quarter or half mile off the course. I'm sure there are others but I can't think of one off hand. I could ask locals though. One of you could PM or email or otherwise contact me (even through BikeReg).

Thanks Aki. PM sent
If, for whatever reason, the Bethel outdoor venue is not available does anybody have any alternate venue suggestions in the area?
If we cannot find a free venue is $25 per table a fair cost for sellers?

i'd probably ride up from nyc for this if it happens when warm enough to either cycle or motorcycle, or if not too far from metronorth.
keep us posted.
