When it came time to put a deposit on my first custom, it came down to Hampsten and Kirk. I went Kirk, but Hampsten is still on my list for my next potential custom. Its a very short list. I love the solid color aesthetic Steve has going.

Great color, but will look for pics soon with better lighting and fully built up!!

Steel, despite my demographic, I never felt a desire for ti. Steve recommended the Wound-Up fork, so that's what I'm using, of course, painted to match.

The build will feature all silver bits: Campy Centaur, VO brakes, Thomson stem, seatpost and collar. The hardest part was finding silver bars. I bought a nice Ritchey Classic bar from a forum member, then used just a bit of drain cleaner to remove the anodization and lots of elbow grease to bring it to a nice, shiny polish.

Gorgeous! Another primo Hampsten; they just keep coming. Steve tells me mine is moving up in the queue... only this winter's great nordic skiing conditions are keeping me from checking my email multiple times each day!
